San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 8:20 p.m. ET

The final two weeks of the 2012 NFL regular season will result in three different division titles potentially being decided. The NFC East, NFC West and AFC North are all still up for grabs with potentially division-clinching games taking place this weekend. One of the more intriguing battles for a division title will take place at CenturyLink Field on Sunday with the Seattle Seahawks hosting the division-leading San Francisco 49ers. Even though the 49ers already punch their ticket to the postseason with the impressive win over the New England Patriots last weekend, San Francisco will let the division crown slip through their fingers if they can’t get the best of the Seahawks this weekend. San Francisco may arguably be the best all-around football team coming into Week 16, but Seattle is currently one of the hottest teams in the league with a lockdown defense firing on all cylinders and rookie quarterback Russell Wilson coming through time after time under center for the Seahawks. Seattle has won five out of the last six games coming into this divisional showdown with San Francisco and is coming off two consecutive 50-point performances. Although the Seahawks have scored 108 points over the course of the last two games, Seattle is a team that has lived and died on the defensive side of the football. Wilson is a promising young quarterback with a potentially bright future, but he’s not on the same level of Robert Griffin III or Andrew Luck. Wilson is coming off perhaps his best game in the NFL thus far throwing for 205 yards, one touchdown and finishing with a passer rating of 104.4 while rushing for 92 yards and three touchdowns, the Wisconsin product has turned a lot of heads around the league as of late and may continue to do just that with a win over the 49ers on Sunday. As for San Francisco, the Colin Kaepernick experiment appears to be working in the team’s favor with four wins in the last five games. The 49ers continue to dominate on the defensive side of the football while Kaepernick shouldering the load offensively. This team has shown that they can beat the best of the best and will convince many that they’re a legitimate Super Bowl title contenders with a win over the Seahawks in Seattle. Despite being on the road, the 49ers are favored with a point spread of -1 in this game. This game will definitely come down to the wire, but in the end I believe San Francisco will come out on top.

Prediction: 49ers -1
