New Orleans Saints (+5) @ New York Giants (-5) Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 4:25 p.m. ET

The defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants have been forced into a corner heading into week 14 of the 2012 NFL regular-season. Eli Manning and company started off strong over the past few weeks and began to look like the team that shocked the world last season and won a title for the second time in five years. Unfortunately, New York he started to struggle and have let the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys back into the hunt in terms of race for the NFC East division title. With that being said, the Redskins and Cowboys are in good position to put a lot of pressure on the defending champs moving forward. With only four regular-season games left to go, anything can happen from here on out as it is highly likely that the Giants will not make the playoffs if they cannot come out on top in the majority of the last four games. This puts a lot of pressure on the team considering the fact that they looked as good as they did after the impressive win over the Green Bay Packers a few weeks ago. Coming into Week 14, the Giants will play host to the New Orleans Saints at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night. New York will be trying to hold off a desperate Saints squad led by perennial Pro Bowl quarterback Drew Brees. New Orleans was being on the verge of a drastic turnaround recently, but that hasn’t been the case with the Saints suffering an ugly loss to the division rival Atlanta Falcons recently. At this point in time, New York has been given the edge in this matchup they -5 point spread in their favor. With this game being played at home and New Orleans not exactly being the team they were a few weeks ago, the Giants should come out on top while covering the spread.

Prediction: Giants -5
