Baltimore Ravens (+3) @ Washington Redskins (-3) Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 1 p.m. ET

After an impressive performance against the division rival New York Giants last week, Robert Griffin III or RG3 as he’s called has proven that he’s the next best superstar in the NFL and might be able to lead Washington Redskins into the playoffs this season if he can continue to play an extremely high level both with his passing ability and uncanny running ability. Griffin has exceeded expectations up to this point in the 2012 NFL season and no longer looks like a rookie under center for head coach Mike Shanahan. Washington may hold their fate in their own hands moving forward as four straight wins to finish the regular season might be enough to claims that playoff berth in the NFC. The NFC East division title may be another story altogether with the Giants still capable of pulling it off and the Dallas Cowboys still in contention as well. The competition won’t get any easier heading into Week 14 for Griffin and company as a rookie quarterback will be going up against one of the best teams in the AFC in the Baltimore Ravens. Although the ravens are coming off a disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore is still as good as many teams in the league and maybe looking forward to a chance to capitalize on Griffin’s inexperience. Fortunately for the Redskins, this game will be played in Washington with a reinvigorated fan base waiting to support Griffin and this impressive team filled with young players confident that a playoff berth is a realistic expectation moving forward. At this point in time, the Redskins are actually favored to get the win over the Ravens on Sunday with a -3 point spread. Even though the Ravens will be motivated to say the least, I believe Griffin has hit his stride and will get the win yet again.

Prediction: Redskins -3
