Indianapolis Colts (+10) @ New England Patriots (-10) Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 4:25 p.m. ET

The rookie campaign for quarterback Andrew Luck has been a resounding success thus far with the Stanford product living up to and exceeding expectations of a number one overall pick. Although the first five weeks were rocky with three losses in five games, Luck has been able to get this up-and-coming squad back on the right track with a four-game winning streak coming into Week 11. Although all four wins have come against struggling teams from the Cleveland Browns (17-13), Tennessee Titans (19-13 OT), Miami Dolphins (23-20) and Jacksonville Jaguars (27-10), the Colts have played very well in the past four weeks and appear to be on the path to clinching a playoff spot in the AFC. Unfortunately, the division title in the AFC South is basically out of the question for the Colts at this point in the season. The Houston Texans are arguably the best all-team in the NFL this year with a potent mix of run and pass accompanied by a lockdown defense that might be the best in the league. At this point in time, the Texans are sitting at 8-1 and atop the standings in division. Pending a disastorious collapse in the next seven games, Houston should cruise to a second straight division title and playoff berth as a result. With that being said, the up-and-coming Colts must compete with the best of the best in the AFC for a playoff spot via AFC Wildcard. Although that seemed like an impossible feat after releasing Peyton Manning and basically starting from scratch with Luck, Indianapolis making the playoffs is a very real possibility. In Week 11, the Colts will face arguably their toughest test of the season in the second half of the year outside of the two meetings with the Texans in the final three weeks. Luck and company will travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots who’ve won three straight headed into this matchup with the Colts. Although the Colts have been red-hot in the last four weeks and seem to be extremely motivated in the wake of head coach Chuck Pagano battle with cancer, the Patriots have been dubbed the heavy favorites coming into this matchup in New England. At this point in time, New England is favored with a -10 point spread. This spread is entirely too high my opinion as the Colts might pull off the upset or at least make it a closer game than predicted.

Prediction: +10 Colts
