Houston Texans (+2) @ Chicago Bears (-2) Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 8:20 p.m. ET

The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears will come into their Week 10 showdown at Soldier Field with identical 7-1 records and fighting for the distinction as the best defense in the league. Along with attempting to cement themselves as the most dominant force on the defensive side of the football this season, Chicago and Houston will be battling it out for the distinction as the second-best team in the NFL behind the undefeated Atlanta Falcons (8-0). In a potential Super Bowl preview, the Bears and Texans will square off in the Windy City on Sunday in arguably one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. With both teams playing extremely well heading into this game in Chicago, the Texans and Bears will be firing on all cylinders on both sides of the football. Even though both teams are known for their defense as they rank one and two in the NFL this season on that side of the football, these two talented teams are more than capable on offense. With veteran quarterbacks Matt Schaub and Jay Cutler leading the way, there’s bound to be quite a few points scored in this Week 10’s showdown between two of the league’s elite. Coming into this matchup, the Bears have seemingly turned the corner on the offense after a few years of struggling with Cutler under center. The only real threat for the Bears over the past few seasons on offense has been running back Matt Forte, but with the addition of Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall the team hasn’t been so one-dimensional and can hurt opposing defenses through the air as well as one the ground. The Texans are also a similar team in comparison to the Bears on offense with Houston having a solid mix of run and pass. As by far the best player on the team and quite possibly the best player on the field in this game, Arian Foster continues to produce at a high level for the Texans while the offense is also getting a potent passing game with Schaub connecting with wideout Andre Johnson and tight end Owen Daniels on a weekly basis. As of right now, things appear to be fairly even between these two division leaders with the only true advantage being the Bears’ home field. With this matchup being played at Soldier Field in Chicago, the Bears have been dubbed the favorites at -2. Solid bet.

Prediction: Bears -2
